Before this next tax season begins, we would like to educate the elderly residents to be aware of IRS phone scams. If the IRS contacts you about anything including unpaid taxes, it will be by mail, NOT by phone and they will never ask you to pay with prepaid debit/gift cards.
Under Florida law, e-mail addresses are public records. If you do not want your e-mail address released in response to a public records request, do not send electronic mail to this entity.
