Update:
Friday, April 16, deputies were conducting a systematic search of the Loxahatchee Slough Natural Area for missing person Matthew Born (w/m 1/17/64). During the search, the body of a deceased, decomposing  male was discovered within a heavily wooded area. Positive identification is still pending.

As of today, April 16, 2021, Matthew Wayne Born has not been located.  Deputies are still searching.  Sorry for the inconvenience.

April 14, 2021

On Sunday, April 11, 2021, Matthew’s vehicle (pictured below) was recovered at Loxahatchee Slough Park off Beeline Highway. Matthew was last seen wearing a flappy hat, a blue denim shirt over a white t-shirt with writing on it, dark shorts and dark shoes. Since that date, no contact has been made with him. It is important to note that Matthew has documented mental health concerns and should be approached with caution.
