PBSO Responds to Plane Crash

September 10, 2018
** UDPATE **
The victims have been identified as Philip Castronova, DOB: 6/30/48 and Mandy Castronova, DOB: 1/2/79 of Lake Worth.
Any witnesses to this tragic plane crash is asked to reach out to NTSB via email witness@NTSB.gov or call 202/314-6290.

Overnight News

On 8/17/2018, at 6:15 am, deputies responded to a shooting at the 600 Block of North H Street.  Upon arrival deputies discovered that an adult male had been shot.  The suspects fled of in a vehicle.  The victim was transported to a local hospital and is expected to survive. Investigation is ongoing.
 
On 08/17/18, 1:18 am, deputies responded to a stabbing located at 1000 S. Dixie Highway. Victim was extremely intoxicated and could not provide any information.  Investigation is ongoing.

Suspect wanted for robbery to a business.
A masked suspect entered Family Dollar, jumped the counter and demanded cash from the clerk then fled on foot from the business.
The suspect was described as a black male, approximately 5’11”, thin build, wearing a green or gray long sleeve shirt, black pants and black shoes.
This incident occurred on August 1, 2018. Family Dollar is located in the 1200 block of S. Dixie Highway, Lake Worth.

Hipolito Fraguela Busted

PBSO’s Detectives from the Violent Crimes Division arrested Hipolito Fraguela, of Lake Worth, on a warrant for the First Degree Murder of Crystal Rivera and Justin Moyer. Fraguela is currently being booked into the Palm Beach County Jail with NO BOND. The shooting took place on June 4th at the intersection of Okeechobee Blvd and Military Trail.

Lightning Strikes Two Men in Lake Worth

The men struck by lighting have been identified as: Enrique and Antonio Miranda. Detectives learned that 71-year-old Enrique Miranda and his son, Antonio, were cutting branches with a machete within a wooded area when three consecutive lightning bolts struck a tall Australian pine tree. We responded to a citizen’s complaint about her nine year old son who was robbed of his bicycle by force. Her son had just received the new bicycle as a gift two days prior. D/S Gerbasi quickly established a perimeter and utilized all available resources in the course of his investigation to include multiple K-9 Units and the aviation unit. Deputies responded to a report of a shooting in the 4300 Block of Theresa Court, unincorporated Lake Worth. Upon arrival, deputies found an unknown male deceased in or along the roadway.
No suspect, motive or witnesses known at this time. Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators are in route to the scene to investigate further.
More information will be released when it becomes available.
