A 69-year-old Vietnam War veteran was attacked Monday at a Lake Park auto parts store.

Two black males started an altercation with a Hispanic male victim. The victim, 69 years of age, was followed into a business and was subsequently pushed and punched causing him to fall to the ground. While on the ground the suspects struck the victim with a truck lug wrench. The suspect’s then fled in a white Ford F250 dual cab truck with a partial Florida tag _DM_75.

Busted for Breaking into MetroPCS Store in the Village of Royal Palm Beach

This suspect was observed breaking the window of the Metro PCS store to gain entry inside.

Once inside, he helped himself to multiple boxes of merchandise.

He was later located in the school parking lot of Royal Palm Beach High School in possession of the stolen merchandise.

He was immediately arrested and gave a full confession.

This incident occurred on Monday, February 13, 2017.

Detectives are investigating an attempted abduction.

Deputies responded to a call of an attempted abduction in the 7300 block of Zurich Circle, (Lake Charleston Development).

Adopt-A-Bear Foundations Donates Teddy Bears to PBSO

The Adopt-A-Bear foundation stopped by PBSO Headquarters to donate 600 teddy bears.

Sheriff  Rick Bradshaw and a group of deputies welcomed the fuzzy toys with open arms.

As much as we loved the donation, the teddy bears are not for us, but for any children we encounter who need a smile on their face.

Our deputies often come across abused, abandoned or vulnerable children in Palm Beach county.

What a better way to brighten their day than with a teddy bear.

NFL Travis Benjamin Speaks at West Detention Center – PBSO

 

NFL Wide Receiver, Travis Benjamin, of the Los Angeles Chargers, spoke with inmates at the West Detention Center in Belle Glade, Florida.

“I just gave them a background of my life and the things I look forward to and the mistakes I have made,” explained Benjamin.

He truly believes that living life with fear made him successful and his faith in God.

The inmates are participants in the ‘Another Way’ program run by the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of retired K-9 “Justice.”

Justice was a dedicated member of the Sheriff’s Office who worked tirelessly for the safety of our citizens for many years.

From all day training to late night call outs, Justice loved his job.

PBSO Welcomes K9 Tino!

Meet Tino, the newest member of our Violent Crimes Division.

He still has many months of training to do, but once his training is over, he will be used to find firearms and related articles, like bullet shells.

Tino is a 15-month-old Lab and he is excited to be part of the PBSO Family.
