A Message from Captain Miles:
Greetings from District 9 of the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. My name is Captain Paul Miles, and it is truly an honor to introduce myself as the Commander of District 9 – Village of Royal Palm Beach. I continue the tradition of past commanders as not only someone who works in Royal Palm Beach, but someone who is also proud to call it my home town.
I have been a member of the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office for 27 years, and have served in both the Corrections and Law Enforcement areas of the agency. I have been fortunate to work in many different facets of this organization to include: Corrections, Road Patrol, Community Policing, Eagle Academy, Court Services and Robbery/Homicide. In addition to law enforcement, I proudly and honorably served our country both on active duty (10 years) and the Reserves (18 years) in the United States Marine Corps. I retired after 28 years of service on August 1, 2006 as a Master Sergeant and was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal.
I have a strong commitment to education and earned a Bachelor of Public Administration Degree from Barry University and a Master of Science Degree from Lynn University. I am currently an Adjunct Instructor at South University and Kaplan University. I am also proud to say I am a graduate of the prestigious FBI National Academy, 226th Session.
At District 9 we are committed to providing timely, professional law enforcement services to citizens, business owners and visitors to the Village of Royal Palm Beach. District 9 has implemented the philosophies and practices of community policing and is fully committed to problem solving at all levels through traditional and non-traditional strategies. We work in partnership with the community and our government stakeholders to address crime and quality of life issues in the Village. The safety of you, your family and friends is paramount to all members of the Sheriff’s Office which is why it is important to keep the communication open between law enforcement and those we serve.
I look forward to meeting each of you in the years to come, and if you have questions or concerns you can always reach me at 561-904-8284 or via e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org
. Have a safe day!
Captain Paul Miles
