PBSO Honors Walmart and Lowe’s Leadership for their Support

Join us in thanking Walmart and Lowe's leadership for their support. Before and after Hurricane Irma, the Lake Park Walmart and Lowe's stores managers provided us with perishable food and other supplies. These supplies allowed our deputies to feed hundreds of citizens. This week, deputies presented these stores’ managers with a ‘Certificate of Appreciation’ to thank them for their partnership and commitment to our community.  

PBSO Deputized a 7-Year Old as a Junior Deputy

While working overtime during a state of emergency and making several arrests, one of our deputies deputized a 7-year old as a Junior Deputy. Cpl. Yerian came across a sweet 7-year old boy named Angel who asked if he could draw him a picture. Community Policing Deputy Sherry Baker Mentors Boys from Broken Home

These two young Town of Lake Park boys come from a broken home in which both parents suffer from drug addiction. Their Grandparents have fought for the past three years to adopt them, which was recently granted. District 10 Community Policing Deputy Sherry Baker has worked with and mentored the boys over the years and recently presented them with this box of toys. The boys were very excited and thankful and have a fond relationship with Deputy Baker.

PBSO Deputy Presents to Summer Camp Children

District 10 Community Policing Deputy Sherry Baker made a “KidSmatz” program presentation to approximately 50 summer camp children at the Bethlehem Haitian Baptist Church of Lake Park. The children were 1st through 5th graders and they enjoyed the informative videos and question and answer session. “Conversation with a Deputy” at a Local Dunkin’ Donuts Store

Today, PBSO District 13 (Belle Glade) along with Executive Staff attended a “Conversation with a Deputy” at the local Dunkin Donuts store. The event was attended by over 100 individuals who were interested in talking with Deputies regarding issues that affect their community. The residents expressed gratitude for the effort of the Sheriff’s Office in organizing this outreach event. The outpour of support is a key component in creating a positive working partnership with the residents of Belle Glade.      

Operation Cops with Comics

Ben Savedow came to donate hundreds of comic books to our Deputies so that they could give it out to children that they encounter on the road. He wanted a way to connect Law Enforcement Officers with the youth of Palm Beach County. Ben hand selected all the comics and removed all the comics that used weapons or guns. PBSO Deputy Educates Mother in Child Passenger Safety

In the afternoon of Monday, June 12th 2017, District 16 (City of Greenacres) Deputy Gregory conducted a traffic on a vehicle for an expired registration within the City of Greenacres. As Deputy Gregory was conversing with the driver, he noticed a 2 year-old child not properly restrained in a child safety seat.
