Victim of home burglary was found growing weed in the house. 

Remember the robbery that we responded to in Jupiter where the homeowner shot at the suspects? Yea, we found a him growing weed in one of the rooms of the house. 

We responded to a burglary in progress in the 18000 block of Loxahatchee River Road,  Jupiter on Friday. The homeowner was confronted by the suspects and discharged his firearm. It is unknown if anyone was struck. The suspects fled.

We had a perimeter set up, utilizing patrol, K9 and the Eagle helicopter. 

Suspects were not located but while Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators were processing the residence, an overwhelming smell of marijuana was detected inside the residence. Detectives located a bedroom inside said residence that was being utilized to cultivate marijuana. Agents from the narcotics unit arrived and adopted the drug investigation. 

The attempted burglary is still open and active.
