Deputies BUSTED Suspect that wielded knife at Target Employees in an attempt to escape with stolen car stereo speakers.

Suspect Wields Folding Knife at Target Loss Prevention Employees in An Attempt to Escape with Stolen Car Stereo Speakers.


Suspect walks into Target located in the 10000 block of Okeechobee Blvd, Royal Palm Beach, and helped himself to four car speakers.  He placed the speakers in a blue cloth bag and attempted leave the   store.  Two loss prevention employees confronted the suspect asking him to return to the store.  The suspect swung the bag and them and displayed his folding pocket knife.  The suspect made threatening moves towards the employees which backed away.  The suspect fled the store and was apprehended by road patrol deputies a short distance away.


The suspect confessed to stealing the speakers intending to sell them on the street.  He only displayed the knife to keep the employees away.  He stated he never intended to harm them.


The suspect, Calvin James, DOB: 1/25/54, was charged with Armed Robbery to a Business and taken to PBC Jail.
