PBSO Deputized a 7-Year Old as a Junior Deputy

While working overtime during a state of emergency and making several arrests, one of our deputies deputized a 7-year old as a Junior Deputy.

Cpl. Yerian came across a sweet 7-year old boy named Angel who asked if he could draw him a picture. After our deputy expressed his interest, Angel drew him two deputies in full uniform and gave him the drawing as a symbol of his appreciation for our service. Cpl. Yerian swore in Angel as a junior deputy and gave him a plastic, gold badge. He was super excited.

A small gesture, like this one, makes our job a lot more rewarding. We thank you all for the support.
