Great Weather Caps Great Day at the 5th Annual BHOPB Pedal for PAL
The 5th Annual BHOPB Pedal for PAL Bike Ride took place on Sunday, April 1st at the Dreyfoos School of the Arts in West Palm Beach. With the beautiful South Florida weather; cyclist rode through the scenic coast lines in Palm Beach and Martin Counties. Riders were treated to breakfast, lunch and snacks at all the rest stops.
Clebrating the fifth year of the ride, PAL is selling a limited amount of PAL VOmax cycyling jerseys (click here) for just $65 dollars.

PAL Baseball Joins Perfect Game Florida Scout League and Readies for 2012

Palm Beach County PAL Baseball will join the likes of South Florida Elite, Orlando Scorpions, FTB Mizuno, SWFL, Chet Lemon Juice, Florida Hardballers and the PB Select as part of the newly formed Perfect Game Florida Scout League. Teams from the league will host various tournaments with all the teams attending to ensure the best teams in the state are all in attendance. This format will bring out the best competition and surely to bring in many scouts to increase the exposure of the players participating.
The PAL 16u team is comprised of: Tyler Barre, Bruce Becthel, Bradley Busch, Jameel Edney, Lance and Kevin Fry, Sean Gabel, Logam Heiser, Eric Hepple, Kyle Houck, Alex Katz, Richard Lipinski, Ben McGrath, Mathew Mika, Andrew Mitchell, Conner Power, Shane Sawczak, Michael Smicklas and Mike Spooner. The team is represented by 9 different high schools and players from the 8th to the 10th grade.
The PAL 17u team consist of: Cruz Alcazar, Trey Amburgey, Michael Barash, Cody Bryant, Noel Cante, Riley Colbath, AJ Fidalic, Nicholas Gallo, Jermey Graf, Franco Guardascoine, Hunter Halsey, Jared Johnson, Tyler Keller, Brad Myott, Daren Saferina, Chris Sheehan, Peter Strzelecki, Kyle Vesnesky and Pat Walther. Twelve high schools are represented on the 17s and all players are 2013 graduates.

Jon Smith Subs Continues Support of PAL Leagues for 5th Year.

PAL would like to thank everyone at Jon Smith Subs for thier continued support of the Palm Beach County PAL Flag Football and Basketball Leagues. Jon Smiths has helped us provide free supervised reacreation for the youth of Palm Beach County. Without thier support we would not be able reach out and help as many youth as we currently do. Roger Dean Stadium and the Cardinals -Marlins Fund has also joined us in 2012 to help support our leagues. A huge thank you to our sponsors!
PAL Boxers Have Success in Silver Gloves Tournaments
PAL Boxers; 12 year old Michael Guerrier 75 lbs, 11 years old Jason Campbell 80 lbs, 10 years old Deonte Altman 85 lbs, and 12 years old Reynalda Holmes 98 lbs won the Florida State Silver Gloves Championships in Royal Palm Beach. All the boxers advanced to the regional Silver Gloves Tournament in Wilmington, North Carolina where Guerrier and Campbell won 2 bouts each and became the S.E. Regional Silver Gloves Champions. Altman finished as the runner-up, and Holmes was unopposed. With the wins, Guerrier and Campbell advanced to the National Silver Gloves in Independence, Missouri. At the Nationals, Guerrier won his first bout against a boxer from Illinois but lost a split decision in the semi-finals bout against a boxer from Nevada. Michael Guerrier is now ranked 3rd in the nation in his age and weight class. Campbell boxed a contender from Washington State and lost in the quarter finals, making him ranked 5th in the nation.
In February, 10 PAL boxers traveled to Jacksonville to participate in the Julian Jackson PAL Championship. 9 year old Kerry Mullings and 11 year old Jalin Burgess were the only boxers matched up. Both boxers won the tournament by unanimous decisions and brought back two title belts. Congrats to ll the boxers who participated
2011 Battle of the Badges Golf Tournament a Huge Success

The 2011 Battle of the Badges Corporate Golf Tournament at Trump International Golf Club hosted 27 teams from across south Florida. Depsite the current economic conditions, PAL was able to raise 30 thousand dollars for the youth of Palm Beach County thanks to the many Sponsors and Supporters. The Corporate Cup was won by Moss Construction and looks forward to defending the cup in 2012. Please call Scott Scrivner at 561 242-5816 if you have any interest in participating in 2012.
