Disaster relief for Puerto Rico and Mexico
Last week Puerto Rico and Mexico experienced two devastating catastrophes. Puerto Rico was hit by the strongest hurricane to hit the area in 80 years, Hurricane Maria, a Category 4. Simultaneously, Mexico experienced a 7.1 earthquake which killed more than 155 people and damaged dozens of buildings. PBSO Assists the Town of Lake Park Road

With a current heat index of 102 degrees, the Town of Lake Park Road Patrol, Detective Bureau and Community Policing Unit assisted members of our community still without power by delivering hot meals through donations from local businesses. Deputies also bagged and delivered 150 bags of ice to affected households.
