The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office held it’s second, “Coffee With A Deputy,” day at a McDonald’s in Boca Raton, Florida. The objective it to allow the public to sit down with a deputy over a cup of coffee and share their concerns about the community with the deputy.

Foundation Honors PBSO Chief Deputy With 2016 Officer of the Year

Chief Deputy Michael Gauger of the Pam Beach County Sheriff’s Office was honored by the Guardian Behavioral Health Foundation as its Officer of the Year. The Chief Deputy was recognized for his years of service in the advocacy of mental health programs being partnered with law enforcement agencies to combat the stigma of mental illness.
PBSO facilitates the largest number of mental health patients in Palm Beach County due to the number of inmates with mental and emotional issues.

PBSO/Walk to School Day 2016

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office assisted students at Gove Elementary School in Belle Glade as part of International Walk to School Day. PBSO deputies and Palm Beach County Fire Rescue escorted the children from the bus stop to the school to promote safety, fitness, and build a positive relationship with law enforcement.
