PBSO Arrest Assisted Living Home Owner on Elder Abuse Charges

On April 20, 2018, detectives from the Special Victims Unit assisted the State of Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) regarding an allegation of elderly abuse/neglect.
The investigation determined that Bhoodram Parsaram left the residents that live in the 24 hour assisted living facility overnight, unattended and restrained.
The assisted living facility is located in the 1100 block of Wynnewood Drive, unincorporated West Palm Beach.

Dear Palm Beach County Senior Citizens,
If your phone rings and someone tells you: “Your grandchild is in trouble and needs money!” It’s a SCAM.

This happens more often than you think. Yesterday, we arrested: Jason Moreland on a warrant for Grand Theft. Last year in June, the suspect contacted the victim and claimed one of his grandchildren was in trouble and needed money. The victim, falling prey, transferred a large sum of money to an account in West Palm Beach.

And the Award for the Carjacker of The Year Award Goes to… Marquise Hudson.

Marquise Hudson stole a black Kio Rio, left running and occupied by a 5 ½ month old infant, from the RaceWay Gas station located on Wallis Road and Haverhill Road, WPB.
Then he left the infant unharmed at the Sunoco Gas station located at State Road 7 and Okeechobee Road, Royal Palm Beach.

Good thing his mamma called us and turned him in.

Deputies Respond to Somerset Academy in regards to a Gun Found in a Student’s Backpack.

Deputies responded to Somerset Academy in regards to a gun found in a student’s backpack.
Detectives have interviewed all involved. The student is a boy, 6 years of age. He entered his classroom, tossed his backpack down and a loaded gun fell out. The teacher immediately rushed the students out of the classroom and notified school officials. The principal contacted PBSO to investigate further.
Detectives DO NOT believe any students were in danger.

Student Makes Threats to Shoot at William T. Dwyer High School

Crime Stoppers received a tip from a concerned citizen regarding a student posting videos of himself with a gun, pictures of himself with a gun in a school parking lot and threats to commit a shooting at William T. Dwyer High School, on social media. Further investigation identified the student. A search warrant was executed at the students home which led to the firearm in question. A baby stroller was hit by car, earlier this morning in a pedestrian crosswalk at the intersection of Le Chalet Blvd and Military Trail.
A woman (grandma) was walking the toddler (1 ½ years old – grandchild) in a baby stroller, attempting to cross the intersection, when the stroller was struck by an oncoming vehicle making a left turn. Over the Thanksgiving break, a fire destroyed the Quinones’ apartment and they lost it all: clothes, beds, shoes and even their bicycles that were on the porch. However, they didn’t lose hope.
Even though they were first traumatized when they got to the scene of the fire because they thought their 16-years old son was in the apartment. Fortunately, they later found out Joel was at a friend’s house at the time and nobody was hurt.

PBSO Arrests Suspect in the Murder of John Lee Roland

The investigation led detectives to the identity of 27-year old Curtis Jenkins, for the murder of John Lee Roland of West Palm Beach. Curtis Jenkins is currently in Virginia being held on Palm Beach County charges of First Degree Murder
