A Baby Stroller was Hit by Car – Child Expected to Recover

A baby stroller was hit by car, earlier this morning in a pedestrian crosswalk at the intersection of Le Chalet Blvd and Military Trail.

A woman (grandma) was walking the toddler (1 ½ years old – grandchild) in a baby stroller, attempting to cross the intersection, when the stroller was struck by an oncoming vehicle making a left turn. The stroller was thrown by the impact, the toddler fell out and sustained an injury to the head. The toddler was taken to a local hospital where he is expected to recover from his injuries. He will, however, be kept overnight for observation.

The investigation is ongoing.
