Bureau Director Hilda A. Gonzalez, Chief Risk Officer
, is currently assigned to Personnel Services Bureau.
Personnel Services Bureau encompasses the divisions of: Human Resources and Risk Management. At present, there are 48 civilian employees assigned to these various divisions and over 30 contract staff for various services.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office has five departments – Administrative Services which includes Information Technology, Personnel Services, Procurement and Financial Services. Management Services, Legal Affairs, Media Relations, Corrections and Law Enforcement Services which includes Communications Operations, Countywide Operations, Homeland Security, South and West Regional Bureaus and Strategic Operations.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office is comprised of over 4,000 employees and approximately 5,000 volunteers.
Bureau Director Hilda Gonzalez started working at PBSO in 2001 in Risk Management. Throughout her tenure Hilda has received numerous accolades for her support in the Wellness/Health of the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office employees. Her notable contributions include the development and implementation of two Sheriff’s Office Wellness Health Care Facilities for the Sheriff’s Office employees to reduce health care cost for employees. Bureau Director Hilda Gonzalez has a Bachelor of Science’s Degree from Palm Beach Atlantic University, Master of Business Administration Degree from University of Phoenix, Certification for School of Human Resources and Labor Relations Certified Worker’s Compensation Professionals (CWCP) from Michigan State University and a Certification for Executive Education in Senior State and Local Government from Harvard Kennedy School. Hilda is married, has three children and one granddaughter.
