Foundation Honors PBSO Chief Deputy With 2016 Officer of the Year

Chief Deputy Michael Gauger of the Pam Beach County Sheriff’s Office was honored by the Guardian Behavioral Health Foundation as its Officer of the Year. The Chief Deputy was recognized for his years of service in the advocacy of mental health programs being partnered with law enforcement agencies to combat the stigma of mental illness.
PBSO facilitates the largest number of mental health patients in Palm Beach County due to the number of inmates with mental and emotional issues.
