March 27, 2023

After further investigation, detectives identified the suspect, Sheldon Miles, to be responsible for the death of the victim.  The suspect was located on March 17, 2023, in Orlando.  He was extradited back to Palm Beach County on March 24, 2023, and booked into the Palm Beach County Jail on the charges below.

Shortly after 1:00 am, this morning, deputies responded to a shooting in the 100 block of Carver Place, in the City of Pahokee.  Upon arrival deputies located an adult male outside suffering from gunshot wound(s).  PBC FR arrived and pronounced the male deceased.

Detectives from the Violent Crimes Division arrived on scene to investigate this shooting as a homicide.
