Crash on 13771 Okeechobee Boulevard

Location: 13771 Okeechobee Boulevard

Incident Date: 02/15/15 Incident Time: 3:00 pm
V1 was traveling westbound on Okeechobee Boulevard between “F” and “E” Roads. For unknown reasons, V1 left the roadway to the north. V1 struck a mailbox and continued west. The front of V1 violently impacted a wooden utility pole. D1 was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital with injuries.

On Thursday, March 26, 2015 D1 died as a result of the injuries sustained in the collision. The Palm Beach County Medical Examiner’s Office has left this case as pending additional investigation. The possibility exists that the collision was caused by a medical event. Update to follow.
