3 Arrested for Looting a Shell Gas Station

We arrested Austin Johnson and 2 Juveniles accused of looting a Shell gas station. They helped themselves to beer, cigarettes and cigars. ‬All three suspects were arrested for Burglary to a Business (state of emergency) and Grand Theft. The juveniles were transported to the JAC center and the adult male, Austin Johnson, DOB: 10/02/93, was taken to the Palm Beach County Jail.  

PBC Jail Currently Housing Over 460 Monroe County Inmates

Shortly before noon on September 9, 2017, PBC Jail and West County Detention Facility received approximately 460 inmates and 60 employees (including deputies and medical staff) from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office. Over 40 Florida Highway Patrol Officers escorted the caravan of inmates and staff from Monroe County to Palm Beach County. The inmates and staff will reside in Palm Beach County until Monroe County is deemed safe to return.

“Conversation with a Deputy” at a Local Dunkin’ Donuts Store

Today, PBSO District 13 (Belle Glade) along with Executive Staff attended a “Conversation with a Deputy” at the local Dunkin Donuts store. The event was attended by over 100 individuals who were interested in talking with Deputies regarding issues that affect their community. The residents expressed gratitude for the effort of the Sheriff’s Office in organizing this outreach event. The outpour of support is a key component in creating a positive working partnership with the residents of Belle Glade.

PBSO Busts Lake Worth Man for 1987 Shooting/Death of Wife

On July 23, 1987, at 7:45 p.m. deputies of the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office responded to 1614 Osborne Circle, Lake Worth after receiving a 911 call from the homeowner, James O'Neil.
