On Friday, October 27 at 5:15 pm, deputies made contact with Edgar Velez who was wanted on multiple counts of Burglary and Grand Theft. Shortly after contact, Velez fled on foot and jumped into a nearby canal located at 10th Ave North and Florida Mango, Lake Worth. Officers from the Palm Springs Police Department were dispatched to a shooting in the 3600 block of South Congress Ave, Palm Springs. Body Found After Lowering Water in a Canal in Southern PBC to Prepare for Hurricane Irma

On Saturday, September 9, 2017, deputies were alerted to a partially submerged vehicle located in a canal in southern Palm Beach County. The vehicle became uncovered in the canal as a result of the city or county lowering the water levels in preparation for Hurricane Irma’s landfall. A deceased person was found inside the vehicle. PBSO’s Undercover Deputies Bust Another Pair Committing an Act During a State of Emergency

On September 13, 2017, shortly after noon, undercover deputies keeping an eye on a local businesses without power (Carnitas Deli & Grill - 2701 10th Ave North, Lake Worth), observed two suspects trying to gain entry into the business.
