PBSO Welcomes United States Army Sgt. Richard “Tiny” Sowell, killed in action on Saipan on July 7, 1944. Lewis Sowell, Jr., Sgt. Sowell’s nephew, was contacted by the military in 2015 and advised that they had possibly found some remains and asked for a sample of his DNA, which he provided. On June 30, 2017 the match was confirmed.

On Friday, October 27 at 5:15 pm, deputies made contact with Edgar Velez who was wanted on multiple counts of Burglary and Grand Theft.
