Girl Scouts Crime Prevention and Fire Safety Tips Teaching Day

Deputies and PBC Fire Rescue Personnel spent the day teaching Girl Scouts Crime Prevention and Fire Safety tips. This is done yearly before cookie sales begin. They were able to meet Piper, a member of PBSO K-9, sit in a patrol vehicle and on the Sheriff's Office ATV. They also witness the sirens go off, the fire hose spray water and the Jaws of Life demonstration.

Female Tosses Dog from a Bridge

Deputies responded to Phil Foster Park in reference to an animal cruelty complaint. Upon arrival deputies learned that a female just threw a dog off the Blue Heron Bridge approximately 40-50 feet off the ground below. Several witnesses stated that the dog was clearly in distress, pain, whining and struggling to move. Two Man Shot in Belle Glade

Deputies responded to a shooting in the 100 block of State Road 715, Belle Glade. Upon arrival deputies located two males with gunshot wounds. They were transported to a local hospital for treatment. Conditions are unknown. Deputies are currently canvassing the area for a potential suspect(s). No motive known at this time. Suspect information is vague. Jupiter Woman Arrested and Charged with Aggravated Assault

PBSO dispatch received a call from a resident in the 16300 block of Alexander Run, Jupiter. The resident stated that her neighbor was armed with a firearm and pointed and discharged the firearm at her. The homeowner then retreated into her home. Deputies arrived on scene and attempted to reason/talk with the homeowner. The homeowner refused to respond to deputies commands on scene so PBSO SWAT members were called. Detectives Investigate the Death of a Wellington City Hall Worker

Deputies responded to an accidental injury that occurred at the Wellington City Hall building located in the 12300 block of Forest Hill Blvd, Wellington. Upon their arrival they met with a male who stated that he was power washing the roof of the building with Thomas Hollihan when Thomas stepped out of the lift’s basket to get to an area that couldn’t be reached. Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office is releasing new information on a Violent Sexual Offender known as the “Palm Beach County Serial Rapist.” Baltazar Gabriel Delgado Ros, (AKA by several aliases and the nickname “Hormigo”) is a Hispanic male, date of birth January 21, 1986. Prior to his identity being known to law enforcement, he was known as “The Palm Beach County Serial Rapist." Delgado was formally charged with the violent attacks and sexual assaults of five women. Detectives Investigate an Accidental Death

Detectives investigate an accidental injury death that occurred at the South Florida Fairgrounds. It appears the victim; Vincent Redd, was assisting with setting up a carnival ride when the forklift came into contact with the overhead power lines. The unresponsive male was taken via trauma hawk to St. Mary’s Medical Center where he was pronounced dead by emergency room personnel. This incident occurred at 10:30 am.
