Shooting/Death Investigation on Northbound I-95 near Donald Ross Road

Time:                    1:42 pm Location:         Northbound I95 at Donald Ross Road What we know so far is there was an altercation between two adult male motorists that resulted in gunfire.  One male is deceased on scene.  One male is currently detained for questioning. Detectives from the Violent Crimes Division are currently on scene investigating.  FHP and Palm Beach Gardens PD are assisting with traffic control. Rough Times, Kind Deputy

Lost Piggy

Is anyone near the Canyons Community missing their adorable little piggy? Our Deputies noticed Ms Piggy wandering and kept her calm until Animal Care and Control arrived and apprehended her. She will be taken care of until her owner claims her.  

Cold Weather Shelter

It’s cold (at least for us). Due to the lower temps, the county is opening a Cold Weather Shelter in Belle Glade. The shelter will be open at 7:00 pm today, February 3, and will close at 7:00 am tomorrow Feb. 4 at Belle Glade Intake Assessment Center: 341 NW 11th St., Belle Glade.
