PBSO Investigates a Shooting in West Palm Beach

Deputies responded to a shooting in the 2800 block of Saranac Ave, West Palm Beach.
Upon arrival deputies found a male with gunshot wound(s). He was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
No suspect information or known motive at this time.

Detectives from the Violent Crimes Division are in route to investigate further.
More information will be released when it becomes available, in the meantime, anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-458-TIPS.

Female Suspects Wanted for Attempted Abduction of One-Year Old Boy

The mother with the child strapped to her back was in front of her residence vacuuming her vehicle when she felt someone standing behind her.
When she looked up she noticed a female dressed all in black trying to grab her baby from the sling on her back.
The victim was able to fight off the female suspect. Once realizing the abduction was unsuccessful the female fled to an awaiting silver four door Honda.

On January 24, 2017, our Empowering Girls Mentoring Group attended a College Recruitment Tour at the West Palm Beach Convention Center.
The girls had an opportunity to talk with representatives from Palm Beach State, Bethune-Cookman University, Florida A&M University,
Keiser University, Tuskegee University, Florida Atlantic University, Edward Waters College, Fort Valley State University and many other educational facilities.

Woman Steals $40,000 in Jewelry from West Palm Home

A woman is being accused of stealing $40,000 worth of jewelry from a home near West Palm Beach.
If this person looks like anyone you know please let us know, there could be a reward for your info.
The female suspect has long, straight, reddish brown hair.
She was wearing a peach shirt and white pants with black patches on both sides of the hip area.

Female Tosses Dog from a Bridge

Deputies responded to Phil Foster Park in reference to an animal cruelty complaint.
Upon arrival deputies learned that a female just threw a dog off the Blue Heron Bridge approximately 40-50 feet off the ground below.
Several witnesses stated that the dog was clearly in distress, pain, whining and struggling to move.
Witnesses advised that the female stated several times that she threw the dog off the bridge, “cause dogs can fly.”

Detectives Investigate an Accidental Death

Detectives investigate an accidental injury death that occurred at the South Florida Fairgrounds.
It appears the victim; Vincent Redd, was assisting with setting up a carnival ride when the forklift came into contact with the overhead power lines.
The unresponsive male was taken via trauma hawk to St. Mary’s Medical Center where he was pronounced dead by emergency room personnel.
This incident occurred at 10:30 am.
The South Florida Fair Grounds is located 600 Fairgrounds Road, West Palm Beach.

2 Year Anniversary of Homicide

On Friday, November 7, 2014 at 10:00 pm Deputies responded to a report of a car fire on the railroad tracks about 100 – 150 yards north of Beeline Highway.
Palm Beach County Fire Rescue responded and extinguished the blaze.  The body of an unknown male was discovered inside the vehicle.  Efforts are underway to identify the unknown male and the vehicle he was discovered in. Detectives are investigating this incident as a homicide.

Deputies were dispatched to a burglary to a business, Family Dollar store, that occurred in the 4900 block of Southern Blvd, West Palm Beach. Upon arrival deputies learned that a vehicle, black SUV, smashed through the business window and stole an ATM.
