Suspect Carjacks Vehicle With Children Sleeping in the Back Seat.

The victim’s pulled into their driveway, left the car running while grabbing a few items from inside the home when the suspect entered the vehicle and attempted to drive away.  As the suspect was entering the vehicle and attempting to flee, the victim yelled “my kids, my kids”.  Before the suspect could drive away the victim grabbed him trying to pull him out of the car.  The suspect drove away dragging the victim while intentionally ramming parked cars.  The suspect finally stopped the vehicle and the victim and witnesses pulled the suspect out of the vehicle.  The suspect, high on drugs and alcohol attempted to flee.  The victim and witnesses were able to detain the suspect until deputies arrived.   

The victim sustained minor injuries.  The suspect, Michael Samuels, DOB: 4/20/84, was arrested and taken to the PBC Jail on the following charges: Robbery – Carjacking, two counts of Aggravated Battery on a person with a deadly weapon, two counts of kidnapping/confine child under the age of 13 and three counts of damage property – Criminal Mischief. 

This incident occurred in the 1400 block of South K Street, Lake Worth on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at 10:30 am.
