PBSO Person of Interest in Attempted Children Abduction

Black male approached two children asking if they would like candy in a dirty white van similar to an attempted abduction on the 13th. ‬

On January 31, 2017, at approximately 6:00 pm, two children were approached by an unknown black male as they were walking home near Winder Court in the Lake Charleston Community.

Both children were asked by the black male if they wanted candy, they said no and ran home.

The “person of interest” was described as:

  • In his 40’s
  • Short “corn kettle” hair
  • “5 o’clock shadow” facial hair
  • He was wearing a short sleeve black t-shirt with a skull on the front

The vehicle was described as:

  • Dirty white van with a metal grate that separates the front seat from the back.

One of the children and an independent witness were both sure this was the same type of van that was described in the February 13, 2017 attempted abduction incident that occurred in Lake Charleston.

These two incidents are believed to be involving the same person.
