PBSO Narcotics Agents #BUSTED Local Doctor For Selling Controlled Substances.

Dr. Jeffrey Matfus, Internist – West Palm Beach, was identified, by PBSO Agents, as a suspect selling controlled substances out of a hotel room in West Palm Beach.

After further investigation Dr. Matfus was immediately taken into custody and charged with two (2) counts of Unlawful Prescription of a Controlled Substance and two (2) counts of Trafficking in Oxycodone between 4 and 14 grams. Dr. Matfus confessed to selling controlled substances for the past two or three months.

Agents discovered that Dr. Matfus currently holds a valid medical license as well as an active DEA prescribing number and has been practicing medicine in South Florida since 1975. The Florida Department of Health and Drug Enforcement Agency have been notified for the purposes of revoking Dr. Matfus’ medical license and prescribing privileges.
