Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a
PROM TRAFFIC SAFETY ENFORCEMENT INITIATIVE PATROL

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Division conducted a Traffic Safety Initiative Patrol on Saturday, April 11, 2015.

Disregard of traffic regulations are a problem within Palm Beach County, resulting in thousands of crashes yearly with too many cases culminating in serious physical injuries and fatalities. Many high schools within Palm Beach County will have ongoing events within the following weeks such as Prom. Enforcement will be conducted to cite traffic violators and remove aggressive and impaired drivers from our roadways.

The locations of the Traffic Safety Initiative Patrol will consist of different main roadways within Palm Beach County identified as areas of traffic safety concern. Strict enforcement of the state beverage laws with particular attention paid to underage drinking will occur to include any house parties where underage drinking occurs. These crimes will be dealt with according to F.S.S. and the General Orders of the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office. A zero tolerance policy will be in effect for any underage drinking. General traffic enforcement will be conducted with an emphasis placed on D.U.I. enforcement to promote road safety.

The main focus of this enforcement initiative is to ensure the safety of the citizens of Palm Beach County and the many youths who will be celebrating during this festive time of the school year.
