PBSO Deputies responded to a call from a CSX train operator regarding a train vs pedestrian(s).  Upon arrival, deputies, members of PBCFR, and PBGFR found the train stopped approximately ½ mile north west of the intersection of Indiantown Rd and Beeline Hwy.  The above members conducted search and rescue operations for potential victims and survivors which was assisted with PBSO Eagle.  One individual was found deceased on the tracks.  The deceased appeared to be an adult (still verifying). Several bags of Palmetto Berries were found in the area of the deceased as well.  No other individuals were found in the area of the tracks or surrounding area.  VCD Homicide responded and took over the investigation with assistance from crime scene and the Medical Examiner.  CSX sent members to assist in the investigation.

Further investigation by PBSO detectives determined that the CSX transportation train struck a pedestrian that was lying on the tracks approximately 1/4 mile from the intersection of Beeline Hwy and Northgrade Road. The deceased (has not been identified yet) was pronounced dead on scene.
