The Eagle Academy is a residential personal development, life skills training and vocational education program, with a military style approach to self-esteem and team building.
YES (Youth Educational Series) consists of a 12 session violence prevention curriculum entitled "Agressors, Victims, and Bystanders" and a four session drug prevention program taught by trained deputies within the middle school level.
A joint project with the School Board of Palm Beach County, this curriculum deals with violence among peers and the different roles (aggressors, victims, and bystanders) that young people play in potentially violent situations. The combined program helps young people in all three roles to resolve problems nonviolently and address the dangers associated with the misuse of drugs, tobacco, and alcohol. An abbreviated version is initially taught at the elementary level and reinforced during the 16 lessons taught at the middle school level.
The Explorer program is chartered through the Boy Scouts of America and is for young men and women who are interested in law enforcement training, community service, and recreation programs.
