Meet Chief of Law Enforcement Frank DeMario

Chief of Law Enforcement Operations Frank DeMario serves as the Senior Executive Staff Officer for the Department of Law Enforcement and Community Operations. As the Chief of Law Enforcement Operations, he is responsible for an annual budget of $498 million, with a staff composition of 1,626 sworn and 1,631 civilian personnel.

Chief DeMario retired as a New York Police Department Detective and also served as the Special Administrator to the Palm Beach County Public Defender. Chief DeMario began his career with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office in 1998. His previous assignments include Colonel of Department of Law Enforcement Operations, Major of Strategic Operations, Commander Court Services, Commander Training, Executive Director Human Resources, Detective Lieutenant District 4 and Administrative Manager Internal Affairs.
