Violent Crimes Task Force
The Palm Beach County Violent Crimes Task Force began operations in April 2006. The VCTF is comprised of Detectives from the following Palm Beach County, State of Florida and Federal law enforcement agencies: PBSO, Lantana PD, Boca Raton PD, Boynton Beach PD, Delray Beach PD, FDLE, Florida Highway Patrol, Greenacres PD, Jupiter PD, PBC School Board PD, Palm Beach Gardens PD, Palm Springs PD, Riviera Beach PD, and West Palm Beach PD.
The VCTF is overseen by an Executive Board comprised of Police Chiefs and senior law enforcement command staff from Participating agencies who have committed to full-time personnel to the Task Force.
The mission of the VCTF is to assist Palm Beach County law enforcement agencies with major case violent crime investigations with an emphasis on gang related violent crime. The VCTF is housed in the PBSO Violent Crimes Division and is available for callout 24/7.
