Greetings,

I am Captain Eric Coleman, the Commander of the Narcotics Division, and it is my pleasure to welcome you to our website. Since my law enforcement career began in 1985, I have had the pleasure of serving in a variety of assignments throughout the county at every rank to include: Patrol, Crime Property, Homicide, Crimes Against Children/Sex Crimes, Court Services, Internal Affairs and Narcotics.

The Narcotics Division is responsible for enforcing the controlled substances laws and regulations of the United States and the State of Florida. We work very closely with our local, state and federal partners to aggressively investigate those organizations and their members involved in the growth, manufacture, or distribution of controlled substances. We also recommend and support non-enforcement programs aimed at reducing the availability of illicit controlled substances.

The Narcotics Division has three primary sections: Major Case Unit, Interdiction and the Multi-Agency Diversion Task Force (MADTF). The Palm Beach County Multi-Agency Diversion Task Force consists of a multi-agency investigative and interdiction group, which targets violations involving pharmaceutical and prescription drug abuse. It has focused on the numerous pain management clinics operating in Palm Beach County and has pursued cooperative multi-state investigations with other H.I.D.T.A Task Forces as well as other local, state and federal agencies throughout South Florida and other states.

Those of us in public safety realize each day brings new challenges; however, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office is committed to working with our elected officials, community leaders, and the citizens of this great community to ensure that Palm Beach County remains a safe environment in which to live, work, and raise our families

Please notify us of suspected illegal narcotics activity either through the Narcotics Division Tip Line 561-681-4400, Crime Stoppers at 800-458-8477 or through this web link

Sincerely,

Captain Eric Coleman
