My name is Robin Schmidt and as the Division Manager of Communications, I oversee operations associated with managing a team of over 150 telecommunications professionals and support staff. My experience encompasses 26 years in public safety communications, 22 of them with the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.

Our dedicated employees serve citizens of Palm Beach County, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We are committed to providing the public with the quickest, most efficient response to emergency calls, constantly mindful of our role in ensuring the safety of law enforcement and public safety personnel. We strive for courtesy, professionalism, and consistent response to those who require 9-1-1- and other communications services from Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.

The Communications Division consists of five independent dispatch/call centers, handling well over one million phone calls annually. The centers are located in West Palm Beach Gun Club HQ, downtown Court House, Belle Glade, PBIA, and Royal Palm Beach. Communications support functions include Teletype, Validations, and CAD/GIS. In addition to the comprehensive law enforcement services provided to thirteen Palm Beach County municipalities, we manage 911 and dispatch services for Highland Beach and Jupiter Inlet Colony.

Thank you for visiting our web-page, and please call or e-mail me should you have any questions or concerns.
