Antonio Araujo - Western Regional Bureau of Field Operations
After serving in the United States Marine Corps, Major Tony Araujo began his career at the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office in 1982 as a Deputy Sheriff. He has worked in and supervised a variety of assignments within the agency. He has been promoted through the ranks of Sergeant, Lieutenant, Captain, and was appointed to the rank of Major on February 12, 2009.
Major Tony Araujo oversees the Western Regional Bureau of the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office which encompasses ten Sheriff's Office districts west of 441/State Road 7 for central and northern Palm Beach County as well as ten Western Regional Watch Commanders. The districts include areas of Wellington, Royal Palm Beach, Loxahatchee/Acreage, Belle Glade, South Bay, Pahokee, Mangonia Park, Lake Park & unincorporated areas of Jupiter and North Palm Beach.
Major Araujo earned his Bachelor's Degree in Professional Administration from Barry University.
Major Araujo is married with three adult children.
