Deputy Involved Shooting – I95 just North of Lantana Road, Lantana – PBSO

Time: 9:35 am
1st Location: 1600 block S. Dixie Highway, Lake Worth
2nd Location: Northbound I95 just north of Lantana Road, Lantana
Deputies responded to a shooting that occurred in 1600 block of S. Dixie Highway, Lake Worth.  Upon arrival deputies learned that a male suspect shot a female. The suspect put the female victim in his car and fled the scene before deputies arrived.

More than 3 months ago, Hurricane Maria hit Puerto Rico leaving them without electricity, flooded homes and broken hearts. Today, people from the island including the Police, remain without the basic necessities, but with hope for a brighter future of restoration. Car Creeper Busted

Christopher Dillion was captured for committing not 1, or 2, or 3, but 56 vehicle burglaries in the Victoria Groves Development in Royal Palm Beach, overnight.
Dillion was arrested and charged with several burglary-related charges.

At Dillion’s residence, detectives found property from the overnight vehicle burglaries as well as property from other burglaries. Detectives will be charging Dillion with additional charges.

Due to the quick action of a UPS driver, suspect, Joshua Thibodeau was arrested for stealing and hiding packages that were delivered to residents in the City of Lake Worth.

PBSO Welcomes United States Army Sgt. Richard “Tiny” Sowell

PBSO Welcomes United States Army Sgt. Richard “Tiny” Sowell, killed in action on Saipan on July 7, 1944. Lewis Sowell, Jr., Sgt. Sowell’s nephew, was contacted by the military in 2015 and advised that they had possibly found some remains and asked for a sample of his DNA, which he provided. On June 30, 2017 the match was confirmed.


PBSO Investigates Person Found Dead in Lake Worth

Deputies responded to a call of a deceased person found in the 1000 block of South H Street, in the City of Lake Worth. Upon arrival deputies found a male deceased from what appears to be a gunshot wound(s).
The victim has been identified as Lucio Velazquez-Morales, DOB: 5/10/84 of Lake Worth.

PBSO Investigates a Possible Drowning/Death

On Friday, October 27 at 5:15 pm, deputies made contact with Edgar Velez who was wanted on multiple counts of Burglary and Grand Theft. Shortly after contact, Velez fled on foot and jumped into a nearby canal located at 10th Ave North and Florida Mango, Lake Worth.
