Tis the Season to Give – and Give Back!
Thanks to our newest community partner, The Giving Project, who donated new clothes, shoes, school supplies and hygiene kits. We’ll make sure it reaches those families who can use a little help this Holiday Season.
Food for the Holidays
Thanks to the generous donation of Mr. Jess Santamaria, 206 families in the Glades have enough food for the Holidays. We distributed 70 Turkeys and 136 Hams with green beans, corn, and a bag of sugar and rice that was donated by Florida Crystals.
Building Bridges
PBSO Captain Rolando Silva developed a program within the “Cops Helping Kids” organization called “Building Bridges” which helps the children of imprisoned parents. Many of these young children are hurting emotionally due to their inability to connect with their fathers or mothers due to sometimes lengthy prison sentences. To soften the hurt, the program entails 1.) The parent who is in prison, personally writes a Christmas card to their children, 2.) Cops Helping Kids finds what type of gifts the children...
Deserving Students Awarded Scholarships
These kids deserve the world for their commitment to their community! They make us very proud. The Lucy Project and the PBSO Tri-City Community Outreach Program awarded scholarships to recognize these students for their commitment to community service.
Deputies help with Back to School Supplies
We are being proactive for back to school 2020. With the help of community partners and former NBA All Stars, Otis Birdsong and Michael Ray Richardson, we distributed over 200 backpacks, school supplies, and personal hygiene kits to kids in Belle Glade.
Welcome SOG Network
We'd like to thank our newest community partner, Spirit Of Giving Network, who donated 17 boxes of brand new VENUS women clothing, boxes of feminine hygiene kits and boxes of GoGosqueeZ applesauce to be distributed in the Tri-City area.

We're so proud of our Explorer Luisa Rojas who is graduating from Glades Central High School with honors. She has been with us for 5 years holding the position of Sergeant. We wanted to show her we're proud of her and we can't wait to see what the future holds for her.
