PBSO is Investigating a Hate Crime

Deputies responded to a vandalism call in the 7000 block of San Salvador Drive, Boca Raton, on Sunday, February 13, 2017 at 8:00 am.

Upon arrival the deputy learned that her son’s 2001 Ford black mustang had been parked on the east side of the residence for the past couple of months.
Sometime between February 11, 2017 at 7:00 pm and February 12, at 8:00 am, an unknown person spray painted a white Swastika symbol on the driver side door.

Female Suspects Wanted for Attempted Abduction of One-Year Old Boy

The mother with the child strapped to her back was in front of her residence vacuuming her vehicle when she felt someone standing behind her.
When she looked up she noticed a female dressed all in black trying to grab her baby from the sling on her back.
The victim was able to fight off the female suspect. Once realizing the abduction was unsuccessful the female fled to an awaiting silver four door Honda.

Deputy Kenneth Torrence from the Palm Beach Sherriff’s Office was invited to sit on the panel to speak about what PBSO/PAL is doing to help prevent crime and violence in the city.

Girl Scouts Crime Prevention and Fire Safety Tips Teaching Day

Deputies and PBC Fire Rescue Personnel spent the day teaching Girl Scouts Crime Prevention and Fire Safety tips.
This is done yearly before cookie sales begin.
They were able to meet Piper, a member of PBSO K-9, sit in a patrol vehicle and on the Sheriff’s Office ATV.
They also witness the sirens go off, the fire hose spray water and the Jaws of Life demonstration.

Double Homicide on Washington Ave, Lake Worth.
Deputies responded to a report of a shooting in the 700 block of Washington Ave, Lake Worth. Upon arrival they located two individuals deceased from gunshot wounds. This area is known to be a high drug and narcotic area.
