Awareness

BPAT Seminar

The closer we are, the stronger and more protected we will be from catastrophes like active shooters. For that reason, Sheriff Ric Bradshaw hosted a Retail Security Awareness Seminar with the help of The American Muslim Alliance of Florida. We thank them for their hospitality.

Anti-Bullying Awareness

Since February is Anti-Bullying Awareness month, we were invited to make a presentation about bullying to a group of parents at Bridges at Highland Elementary School. As an incentive for participating during the presentation, each parent received a PBSO color-changing cup for parents to use as a “talking piece” with their children regarding bullying. The parents were appreciative of the community outreach effort and we couldn’t be happier to answer their questions.

Active Shooter Training

Luna Lost

Here’s a good rule we should all abide by: If you come across a dog that is behind the fence in someone’s yard, it means that dog does NOT belong to you. Help us find Luna and the confused gentlemen who took her. the brown-and-white pit bull mix, has not been seen since she was taken from her home on Fleming Ave at about 1:20 p.m. on Sunday by a suspect wearing a yellow shirt, long dark shorts, baseball hat, backpack...

Back to work, watch your speed

We know most of us are running late this morning, but please respect our school zone's speed limit to keep our kids safe. The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office has stepped up enforcing school zone speed limits to protect the school children of Palm Beach County. We ask the public to please reduce their speed, while driving through school zones and watch for children.

Active Shooter Situations

In light of the tragic event that took place this week in Ventura County, PBSO would like to remind everyone what we can do during an Active Shooter situation. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families, victims and everyone else affected with the recent shooting, especially the officer from the Ventura County Sheriff's Office who was killed in the line of duty protecting his community from this senseless act.
