It only takes a few seconds for a devastating accident to happen. If you see a car on the side of the road, move over or slow down. Moving over can save not only the lives of those on the side of the road but also of the driver's. This law is for everyone's safety. Let’s avoid preventable catastrophes. Road safety is one of our main priorities and a responsibility we do not take lightly.

School Traffic Initiative Has a Good Start
Our School Traffic Initiative is off to a good start. Drivers can either slowdown when passing by a school zone or we’ll be there as a reminder. Just to give you an example, in the Town of Lake Park alone, we have given out 58 citations and 159 written warnings.Quick: Is Real or Fake?
Can you tell a fake gun from a real one? Our Deputies have fractions of a second to assess a threat. The confusion can lead to deadly confrontations when called to a scene. Parents, please avoid buying your kids replica guns. These are not toys and could put them at risk.
