YOU MUST HAVE A VALID EMAIL ADDRESS TO USE THE ONLINE APPLICATION SYSTEM

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS - The PBSO application is comprised of (2) parts.

Part 1 - Is online whereby you register with PBSO and set up your online applicant account.

Part 2 - Is the "Application - Part 2", second part of your application, which is a document you download via link below. You need to save this document on your computer and when you are done completing it, you upload it onto your online account via the online application system. This part used to be called Personal History Questionnaire (PHQ). It has been changed to Application - Part 2.

LOG IN INSTRUCTIONS

First time applicants, click on the Career Opportunities link below to access the online recruiting system, and then click on Register Today link to register with us and create an account.

Former PBSO employees PRIOR to Dec. 1st 2000, follow same steps as First time applicants above.

Former PBSO employees AFTER Dec. 1st 2000, click on Career Opportunities link below to access the online recruiting system, and then click the here link (under register today), that will take you to the ex-employee registration page.

Existing PBSO employees, click on the Career Opportunities-Existing PBSO Employees link below to access the online recruiting system and follow the screen instructions.

Already registered - If you are already registered with PBSO, you do NOT need to register again. That would only result in creating multiple accounts and you will be responsible for monitoring all of those accounts. If you are experiencing technical difficulties (i.e. can not log in, password does not work), please describe the nature of your problem and forward to ijobs@pbso.org our technical difficulties email service line. Please note our reply will only be forwarded during regular business office hours.

COMMUNICATION - All correspondence will be conducted electronically, via email address you had provided under the personal information section of your account. It is your responsibility to update your account with the most current email address or contact information.

TIPS - The online application system times out after 30 minutes, you need to save all your changes as you are entering them.

HOW TO APPLY - FIRST TIME USERS
FORMER EMPLOYEES PRIOR 2000

  • To access the on-line application system, click on the Career Opportunities link below.
  • Click on the Register Today to register your personal profile and create a new account with PBSO.
  • If you set up your Personal Profile, the information in your account, including Application - Part 2, and all attached documents, will carry through every job you apply for now or in the future.
  • If you do not set up your Personal Profile, and you choose to go straight to the job to apply, you will need to re-type and upload all the documents every time you apply for each individual job.
  • To view all current openings, click on All Jobs, also use New Jobs, or search by Date Posted option.
  • To view job details, click select box next to the job name you would like to view, and then on Name (IRC#).
  • To apply for a job, select the job box and then click the Apply Now button.
  • We advise you download the Application - Part 2, by clicking on the Application - Part 2 link below, saving it on your computer, reviewing and filling out the document prior to logging onto the online application system, since it is a lengthy document and your online access times out after 30 minutes.
  • You should log onto the online application system to apply for a job after you had completely filled out and saved your Application - Part 2 document on your computer. You will notice a box called Upload Application - Part 2 which is prompting you to upload your Application - Part 2 just as you start completing your online application. Please make sure you upload your Application - Part 2 at that time. Your application will not be considered without an Application - Part 2 and required documents attached to your application.
  • If you had set up your Personal Profile, it is only required to upload your Application - Part 2 and other documents into your account once since the information gets attached to your account profile and carries through for each job you apply.
  • Please ensure you update your profile and documents as necessary to reflect changes when applying for jobs requiring additional information or future opportunities.
  • Once you submit your application, you will see a confirmation message that your application has been submitted.
  • To check and make sure that your application has been submitted and all the documents have been attached. Log back into your account using the Manage My Account option to check or change information on your account. To check attached documents or add new documents, scroll down to Documents to view attached documents or attach additional documents.
  • You need to save all your changes as you enter them, the online application system times out after 30 minutes.

HOW TO APPLY - FORMER EMPLOYEES AFTER 2000

  • To access the on-line application system, click on the Career Opportunities link below.
  • When log in page come up, click on the here link (under register today) to go to the ex-employee registration page.
  • Enter details on the ex-employee registration page, and click on submit. Please note it is required to enter first name, last name and national identifier in order to register and link to your old records.
  • Please make sure you use the calendar feature provided to enter dates in proper Oracle format.
  • You will receive a confirmation message for your registration once you submit.
  • Your password will be emailed at the email address you provided on your account.
  • Once you get your new password from your email, please click on the Career Opportunities link below and log in through the Already Registered option to apply for a job.
  • Make sure you go to My Account and update your account with your most recent information (i.e. address, phone).

HOW TO APPLY - EXISTING PBSO EMPLOYEES

  • To access on-line application system, click on the Career Opportunities-Existing PBSO Employees link below.
  • At first log in page, use your PBSO Network ID and password assigned to you for log in to access network.
  • At next log in page, use your PBSO Oracle ID and password assigned to you for log in (same as internal) to apply.
  • For detailed step-by-step on screen instructions, please go to the Reference Guide link below.

APPLICATION PROCESS

It is REQUIRED that you review the POSITION REQUIREMENT links below and you submit your completed Application - Part 2 and required documentation along with your online application. If the Application - Part 2 and required documents are not attached as part of your online application, your application will be automatically disqualified and terminated.

UPON RECEIVING YOUR ONLINE APPLICATION

  • Your application will be reviewed for minimum qualifications and testing requirements, when applicable.
  • If you meet the minimum requirements and you successfully pass testing requirements, you will receive further information from the hiring department on the next step in the process via email address you had provided when you registered and created your online application account.

PLEASE NOTE

PBSO will only conduct electronic communication for all correspondence and it is your responsibility to update your applicant account with the most current information where we could reach you (i.e. email, address, phone), and to monitor the status of your account and communication. If an electronic message is sent out and we do not hear from you within the timeframe required, your application may be terminated.

Please be advised, this is a new system and problems may occur. We apologize in advance should you experience any difficulties. If you are experiencing "Technical Difficulties" (i.e. can not log in, page comes up with an error, etc.) click on this link to submit your problem.
