Commander for District 5

Hello and welcome to the District 5 website of the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office. I am Captain Rolando Silva and it is my honor to serve you as the District's Commanding Officer. District 5 encompasses over 1200 square miles of unincorporated western Palm Beach County and we have a direct service population in excess of 18,000 citizens. It is divided into four (4) sectors and eight (8) neighborhood service areas. We have 51 sworn law enforcement officers and 8 dedicated civilian professionals as part of our team. In addition, the district receives support from Community Policing, K-9, and the Traffic Division, and it operates in conjunction with two (2) additional law enforcement service agreement cities in District 11, the City of South Bay and District 12, the City of Pahokee.
